parasympathy

This piece uses up-cycled materials including a cardboard box and thrown-away toy arms, along with a dragonfly circuit sculpture inspired by Kelly Heaton and a grid of LEDs. The lights and movement are driven by a Teensy and a Circuit Playground Express. The arms are programmed to move at random angled between 45 and 135 degrees, at random intervals between 4 and 12 seconds. The LED dragonfly blinks and then ramps down it’s brightness over a sky and clouds displayed on the LEDs.
